Still, this does not look like it's going to be a wimpy storm. Hoping for the best.
I liked these, though:

And this (from here):
I have to admit, one of my biggest disappointments is that we won't be getting trick-or-treaters.

Daniel Kuehn is a doctoral candidate in economics at American University. He has a master's degree in public policy from George Washington University.
Evan, his brother, occasionally blogs on F&OST, but can usually be found here.
Do you have a generator?
ReplyDeleteNo we considered getting one after the summer but decided against it... we'll see if that was a mistake.
DeleteHow are you doing? We both are avoiding dead center but you're getting a bunch of it too.
What made you decide not to get one?
DeleteWe should be fine. We live on a hill, and all the power lines in out part of brooklyn are buried. Heck even my car is in a garage! Our main challenge is going to be entertaining our kids inside for two days.
The city is like completely shut down, though. I drove a friend to his gf's house this morning (because all the cab places are shut down)and 9:00 on a monday looked like 6:00am on a sunday.
Being gone for the weekend and competing priorities when we got in yesterday afternoon. Plus the experience during the summer that most of the gas stations were closed anyway. Not a detailed CBA by any means :)
