Fred ENGELS, not Douglass

I'm just googling a few things to get squared away for my history of thought final tonight, and I stumbled across "The Uncyclopedia". Never seen it before. My favorite was the Karl Marx entry's picture. I never thought of it before, but the hair does look very similar.

UPDATE: OK, I liked the line at the beginning about religion being a way of getting people off opium, and the picture, but a lot of this is pretty stupid...

  1. Yes, most of the stuff on 'Uncyclopedia' is pretty stupid. It falls prey to the same problems associated with any wiki, that due to its very nature you will get a lot of BS clogging the pipes, except in this case it is unfunny humor. However, I have read some true gems on their page in the past.

  2. Hey, just out of curiosity, have you ever heard of 'Lamebook'?

  3. You've never seen Uncyclopedia before? It's a good source of humorous stupidity on the Internet. Good luck on your final, however!

  4. Does anybody not find this funny: the idea of a concept album of show-tunes called 'That's Capital'? I can't get the idea of tuxedoes, top hats, jazz hands, dancers, tap shoes, etc out of my head. Twisted? Yes. But it is pure comedy gold as far as I am concerned.

  5. Welcome to a long line of students who procrastinate instead of studying, Daniel.
