Something that proponents and opponents of the minimum wage can both agree on

(as long as they don't go into detail about exactly what they mean by the sentence)

Of those who would be HARMED by raising the minimum wage, 88.3% are at least 20 years old.

    Isn't statistics wonderful?

    2. It's probably more like most of those harmed are under 20 yrs old. It will hurt the least skilled and least experienced most.

  2. That's pretty twisted. Ultimately, the real beneficiaries are those who gain by the revenues thereof, or at least they think that they do (thus, policy toward those ends continues). Sure, the beneficiaries are varied, but the most prevalent group that I have in mind is those whose income is dependent upon taxation (welfare, medicare, social security). This is more of a case of the needs of the many outweighing that of the few, that's all that it is.

In any case, such a policy does not somehow magically free up resources, it only reallocates them, based upon mere dictate.
