Does anyone know the best place to get good, downloadable (i.e., not just some searchable database), public access bibliometric data? I'm most intersted in data that has information on journal author (1.) names, and (2.) affiliations.
Thanks.

Strangely enough I read this article way back in January in 2011: http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2011-01/31/scientific-collaboration
ReplyDeleteProbably doesn't help at all, but it was an interesting article.
Asking this fellow, Dr. David J. Marsay, a mathematician who deals with economics on a frequent basis, may prove to be a little more helpful...

BTW, the UK has an excellent open access bibliometrics system in its universities...can't comment too much on American ones.
ReplyDeleteDid anything ever come of this?
