But it's a good one.

If you're going to be in Middleburg for two weeks you can easily venture many places in Loudon County (which is where we get out to most often). My favorite in that area is Breaux, Fabbioli Swedenburg (which is right near Middleburg), Dry Mill, Pearmund, and Loudon Valley.

Chrysalis (also near Middleburg) does some interesting things with Norton, so that's worth going to. I have been less impressed with them lately than I used to be.

If you are interested in some different stuff, go to Village Winery. He does a lot with fruits and berries.

So what are you doing research on?Daniel Kuehnhttp://www.factsandotherstubbornthings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740670447258719504.post-51955629617956395042012-05-02T00:53:57.829-04:002012-05-02T00:53:57.829-04:00Ahem. I followed your link here from Tyler Cowen's blog, and thought I'd ask an expert. I'm a humanities graduate student going to spend two weeks doing research in the region in early August, and I'd much appreciate any suggestions you might have.

I was thinking in particular about exploring the Norton group, as a particularly American varietal that I know next to nothing about. Or is that a bad idea?Matthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13084624477492116467noreply@blogger.com
